Lose weight while dining out: study reveals 6 tips

Eating in restaurants frequently, which could mean consuming most of the high-calorie foods, can increase the risk of becoming obese. But there may be ways to eat outside and still lose weight, a new study shows.

Researchers look at middle-aged women who are 35 and found that after six weeks of weight gain prevention programs, they lost more weight than women who do not follow the program.

In the program, the researchers suggest that when eating out, women must ask that half of their food into the box “to go” before they start eating, and need to find information on the website of restaurant calories, along with other counsel.

“Being able to control and manage what you eat is useful,” said lead author Gayle Timmerman, a nurse who studied eating patterns and body weight in women at the University of Texas. “But You need some knowledge and skills to do it.”

A study published today (January 10) in the journal of nutrition education and behavior.
