Washoe County School District which plays an important role in the api response

During school zone article written by Washoe County Weekly School District Board of Trustees, my colleagues and I would like to give our thoughts on the problems of primary education and our understanding of the progress we make in the District:

today, I thought I’d take a different approach to this article and share my thoughts as a member of the School Board about fire Caughlin recently, WCSD’s's role in regional emergencies and lessons we can learn together.

During this disaster, I was reminded about the power of our community to come together as one. As Sparks a lifetime resident, I have never doubted the resolve of our community, but the situation is highlighted for all to see – from emergency responders to the collaboration of people from our individual support is provided to friends and family.

As mayor, I am very proud of the role of the district is played during and after the firefighting efforts. School districts play a major part in the collaboration between local agencies, and this was witnessed during fires Caughlin. When the fire started early on Friday morning, the staff immediately responded, and WCSD I was told of their efforts during the whole situation. The school district provided police with the help of emergency responders by helping with the evacuation and other essentials. WCSD staff also opens the door to the school facilities such as an evacuation center and help coordinate communication efforts. With the passage of fire, our counselors are in contact with schools and families, provide any support needed. I have also heard many stories about how our students and staff expanded their hands over the weekend by reaching out to people in the affected neighborhood volunteer their time and in evacuation centers.

While many of us back to our normal schedule this week, many families and friends affected by personal we continue to deal with after. This is no exception in the Washoe County School District. Many of our children and their families and employees of many school districts have an impact on a personal level.
